How Exercise can improve men’s self-esteem and confidence

It’s a pretty obvious statement to make, but they're really are so many benefits of working out! Improved fitness levels, increase muscle mass and tone, reducing the risk of heart disease, helping to control weight etc. etc.  But, for now, let’s focus on how you can improve your confidence and self-esteem through the power of exercise.

Fit body, fit mind

An oldie, but a goodie. And there’s so much truth in it. The reality is that exercising regularly really can help with your energy, your mood and your ability to focus on other tasks. The sharper your physiology, the sharper your psychology. And we haven’t even delved into the feel-good endorphin release you’ll get from working out.

Boost confidence by taking control

Everyday is full of decisions. Get up early vs rest for longer. Smart dress vs casual. Deodorant vs antiperspirant. Exercise vs don't exercise. The more you can take control of your daily decisions, the more in control you'll feel in general. And when you decide to make the choice to exercise you're certainly taking ownership of your wellbeing.

Whether you head to the gym or get a great workout at home, being decisive and taking action will make you feel more positive. That’ll help you confidently make decisions in other aspects of your life too.

 The benefits of routine

In addition to making clear decisions, getting into a consistent exercise regime will help you stay in charge of your schedule too. We’re living in a time of uncertainty, where routines can easily get thrown all over the place, so the more you get a handle on things the better you will feel.

Making, and following, a solid exercise plan not only boosts your self-esteem (because you’ll look and feel better), it also raises your confidence levels as you set goals and smash right through them. Developing a coherent plan with achievable targets is going to make a huge difference, and that’s something we can do together. When you can see what’s ahead of you, you’re far more likely to work towards your goals.

Body confidence

There’s no need to skirt round the issue. Once you get into good training habits you’ll not only feel different, you’ll start to look different too. Whether it’s noticing a firmer physique, looking like you’ve lost some pounds or a more upright posture – all proven benefits of regular exercise – your self-esteem will lift as a result. And the more you make exercise a habit, the more confident you’re going to feel.

Harness the workout buzz

By the time you finish your workout, you’ll feel energised and more motivated. Harness that positive energy and use it for the rest of your day, reveling in the buzz and confidence gained. Get yourself changed and cleaned, quick spray or roll on – no need to spend ages mulling over the deodorant vs antiperspirant debate here – and on you go!

You can start the road to increased self-esteem and confidence with your personal training plan today. Let’s get going and take things to the next level!
